Mr Eagle Rock -
Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks
Saturday 31st July 2010
Mr "Eagle Rock" Ross Wilson is possibly the only Australian rock music legend who can't make a comeback, simply because he's never been away.
Former Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock front man, songwriter, producer and solo artist, his 45 year association with success continues unabated, into the 21st century.
Norwood Live is proud to present Ross Wilson and his rockin' band, The Peacenix for two unforgettable nights which will see the great man perform his hits spanning five decades, along with a special showcase of tracks from his new Album "I Come In Peace".
A totally independent album, produced by ex-pat Aussie Mark Moffatt and recorded, mixed and mastered in the US, "I Come In Peace" is set for release through Shock later in July, 2010.
The first single "I Come In Peace" is set to become a new classic Aussie rock anthem and is being promoted with a film clip directed by the highly acclaimed Paul Goldman and features the stunning ex-Melbournian and new LA resident, guitarist and singer Laura Wilde.

THE SHARP - Skivvies are Back!!!
Friday 6th August
- Formed in Collingwood in 1990, The Sharp are Charlie Rooke (guitar/vocals), Allan Catlin (double bass/vocals) and Piet Collins (drums/vocals).
- Triple J soon got behind the band and a record deal with Warner Music was struck. Their debut album "This is the Sharp” went Gold and the band received Aria nominations, magazine covers and appearances on just about every TV/Radio show in Australia.
- Second album released “Sonic Tripod” with American producer Rick Will (Ziggy Marley, Diesel). A brief tour of Europe and the US.
- Finally after nearly five years in the limelight, the touring schedule brought the band to a crossroads and a decision was made to end on a high note.
- “Single File” was released as the band’s final album and a final tour “Thank you Goodnight” saw them playing to packed houses around the nation. When the band played its last shows in 1995, many (including the band), wondered when (or if) it could all happen again.
- Now fifteen years later (and thanks to some persistent pestering from fans) The Sharp are back and sounding better than ever. Ably supported by Things of Stone and Wood front man Greg Arnold this promises to be the ultimate 90’s reunion gig!
- Playing all their hits plus some rockin’ covers (Violent Femmes, Sex Pistols, Kiss) The Sharp are back with a vengeance!!!
- “Taking Sly”“Train of Thought”“Scratch My Back”“Spider”“Yeah I Want You” “Alone Like Me”.

The Dingoes
Friday 20th August
Last August 2009, The Dingoes were rightfully instated into the ARIA Hall Of Fame much to the joy of their peers and their fans.
Messrs John Bois, Broderick Smith, Chris Stockley and Kerryn Tolhurst gathered together on stage for the first time in 30 years to accept the accolade on behalf of themselves and the much missed John Lee who was - and still is - very much with them in spirit.
As a result, fires were rekindled and the creative juices set flowing again and the four gathered at Kerryn Tolhurst's studio in Tucson, Arizona early in 2010 to see how it felt to play together again. It felt and sounded good. The consequence is a brand new album from The Dingoes titled 'Tracks' and featuring ten new ones. 'Tracks' is being released through the Liberation music label in Australia on Friday August 6th.
To coincide with the release of the album, band members will travel far and wide - and some not quite so - to travel the tracks of Australia.
The Dingoes will perform some of their earlier songs and will be introducing their new songs to their fans in Australia.
The band will be joined on stage by Ash Davies (drums), Chris Copping (keys) and Kevin Bennett (vocals & guitar) adding to the already amazing caliber gathered on stage and ensuring a very special live music event for all in attendance.
There will also be special guest supports for all shows.
The Dingoes - Tracks album available through the Liberation Music label and will be in stores on Friday August 6th.

Adam Brand
Thursday December 9th
It’s more than a decade since Adam Brand burst onto the scene, leaving his indelible stamp on Australian country music, and in that time, he’s collected a dozen Golden Guitars - including two for Male Vocalist - and many other major awards.
He’s seen three of his albums go platinum, two gold, and released two gold DVDs. He’s also enjoyed innumerable hit singles and most recently, Adam picked up the Male Artist of the Year Golden Guitar and on the same night took out the CMC Oz Artist of the Year Award, voted by the fans, for the third consecutive year, making him the winner of every CMC award so far.
He is currently proving he’s an all-rounder as he competes on Seven Network’s “Dancing With The Stars, and at last, this exceptionally talented star is set to give Adelaide audiences an unforgettable night when he plays Norwood Live for one show only on Thursday, December 9th.
The title track from Adam Brand’s recent album, Hell of a Ride (released in 2009), perfectly captures his attitude to life and music:
“They called us crazy
We proved them wrong
They’ll be talking about us
Long after we’re gone”
That’s because he’s built one of the largest and most dedicated fan bases in the country, and established a reputation as a powerful, passionate and dynamic performer, not to be missed.

John English
Saturday February 12 2011
He is one of the greatest and most enduring artists of our time, certainly one of Australia’s favourite sons and one of the few Australian performers to have successfully combined a career in music, television and stage. He is Jon English and he’s bringing his band to Norwood Live.
With a string of awards for his recordings, acting roles and theatrical performances, he still tours prolifically and is one of this country’s most in-demand artists.
Rocketing to superstardom in the seventies, in the role of Judas in Harry M Miller’s first production of “Jesus Christ Superstar”, Jon’s recording career during that five-year stint saw him release four albums and garner hits such as "Handbags and Gladrags", "Turn the Page" (his first No. 1 chart topper) and "Hollywood Seven". At the same time, he appeared in guest roles on popular television drama shows including "No. 96", "Matlock Police", and Homicide telemovie, "Stopover".
His diversity knows no boundaries and to list all of his achievements and accolades – not only in his home country but overseas - would use enough pages to fill a stadium: from performing rock operas and musicals (“Ned Kelly”, “Big River”, “Pirates of Penzance”) writing his own smash hit theatre production (“Paris”), producing records for other artists (Sebastian Hardie’s “Four Moments”), touring with the likes of Bryan Ferry, Chicago and Thin Lizzy, starring in countless TV shows, including the hit comedy “All Together Now” and the most successful Australian mini-series of all time, “Against The Wind”, for which he wrote and recorded the theme song – “Six Ribbons” which was a hit in more than six countries, co-wrote the score with Mario Millo and became one of few performers to win a Logie for Best Actor and a TV Week/Countdown award for Best Male Vocalist in the same year.
Talented, versatile, intelligent, driven by his love for his work and music, Jon English live is a not-to-be-missed experience, and is bound to sell out quickly. Don’t miss out! Tickets on sale now at Norwood Live.
